Cooking Catastrophes?

Hi All, Have any of you experienced any catastrophes while cooking something? Once, while cooking at school with the two other blindies in my school, we microwaved a bag of popcorn. It must have been a dud bag, because when we opened the microwave, the bag exploded and all the kernels came flying out, and the liquidized butter flowed out of the microwave onto the floor. Lake Butter, thus, formed.
So spill. What has happened to you?

Gggrrrrrrrr! What upsets me is when I place a roast in the oven with carrots and onions and potatoes and turn th oven on to the correct temperature and walk away realizing I won't need to check on it for an hour or so....... Then when I come back to check on the progress, realizing I FORGOT to turn the dial on to Bake! Yes, Temperature dial was turned ON but without the second dial turned on, NO heat and thus the baking of the roast UNstarted! Did I say Gggrrrrrrrrrr!

Lol Connie, I can see how that'd be frustrating. Like in Ramona and Her ... oh which one was it? Mother? I don't remember. But they forgot to turn the crockpot on and the stew didn't cook? Caitlin

I made some really nasty, really disgusting, really awful macaroni and cheese once. I made it all from scratch, and I guess I put too much cheese in it, because it was ... eeewwww! I was traumatized.
